*George A. Wright & Son (Toronto) Ltd.*, a Tessera Group company, has been building a tradition of quality and customer service in the food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturing industries since 1894. We design, manufacture, and install all kinds of material handling equipment in manufacturing facilities throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario. We're looking to add a *Millwright/Industrial Mechanic *to our growing team. We're looking for someone with hands-on mechanical experience, including a strong understanding of industrial installation projects, and an in-depth knowledge of job-site safety, rigging, millwrighting, utility piping and electrical services. *Here?s What You?ll Be Doing:* * Working with a team of skilled tradespeople, within a plant environment, coordinating with site supervisors, project management, and our manufacturing team. * A typical day includes working in our clients? manufacturing sites fabricating, installing, removing, and servicing a variety of conveying and automation equipment. * Ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to at all times and compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. * Interpreting blueprints. * Looking for ways to complete the jobs in a more efficient manner. * Adhering to company health and safety, human resources, and accounting policies, procedures, and programs. * Must be available to work overtime (weekends) per the needs of the business. *Here?s What You?ll Need*: * High School Diploma or equivalent, trade school considered an asset. * Mechanical background with 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial installations. * Journeyman/Journeywoman?s license (Millwright, etc.), preferred. * Knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations, standards and practices. * Must have own maintenance tools. * Experience working in a team-based environment. * Rigging and hoisting experience, an asset. * CWB tickets, an asset. * Prior experience in Stainless Steel fabrication and Tig welding, an asset. * Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario, valid G drivers license and personal vehicle are required. * Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills. *Working Environment* * Work at customer manufacturing sites and the George A. Wright production shop. * Work may involve exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and various environmental conditions. * Must be comfortable working in heights, confined spaces, or outdoor environments as required. *Compensation:* George A.
