Join our dedicated, hard-working team, come grow with us! *Position Summary* As an important member of maintenance team, the primary responsibilities are to support the Company?s production activities providing technical support by maintaining, repairing, setting-up, cleaning, performing machine adjustments and operating all mechanical equipment pertaining to production equipment including but not limited to packaging equipment and is responsible for mechanical performance of the production lines. *The "Recipe" - Job Essentials* * Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment (mixers, ovens, conveyors, pumps, kettles, etc.). * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime. * Effectively responds to emergency break downs to repair equipment ensuring the food safety requirements are met when completing temporary repairs * Make timely repairs to minimize production downtime. * Maintain and repair utilities systems such as boilers, refrigeration, air compressors, and water systems. * Ensure equipment and maintenance work comply with food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and company quality standards. * Understands the responsibilities of the position as it relates to the facilities SQF program. * Assist in equipment changeovers, calibrations, and adjustments to support production schedules. * Document all maintenance activities in maintenance logs. * Support plant safety programs by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. * Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to troubleshoot and improve equipment performance. * Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency. * Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines. * Follow Lockout/Tagout, WHMIS, and all other safety procedures during maintenance activities. * Has a good command of the English language, an effective communicator both orally and written * Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. *"Secret Ingredients" - Success Factors 'You' bring to the position.* * 5+ years experience working as a mechanic is require * Minimum 2?3 years of industrial mechanic experience, preferably in food manufacturing or baking environments. * Completion of trade apprenticeship in industrial mechanics, electromechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. * Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.\\ * Experience with PLCs, sensors, motors, pumps, and conveyor systems is an asset. * Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, OSHA, and food safety regulations. * Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals. * Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment (rotating shifts, weekends, overtime as required. *What you can expect from us. * * The opportunity to join our talented, dynamic, diverse and inclusive team. * You will have the opportunity to use your current experience, knowledge and skill to continue growing with us. * Our supportive team will offer encouragement during your professional growth and development. * You will have opportunities that are meaningful and impactful within the scope of your work assignments. _Niche Bakers Corp. embraces diversity in the workplace and is committed to achieving employment equity.
