*Customer Service Representative * *Location: *Kelowna BC *Company:* Uppal Building Supplies Ltd. (UBS LTD) *Position Overview* *Uppal Building Supplies Ltd.* is seeking a motivated and customer-focused *Customer Service Representative* to support our Kelowna branch. This hybrid role combines front desk responsibilities with inside sales support and proactive account development. This is not a passive counter position. The successful candidate will be expected to provide exceptional service while actively supporting sales growth and strengthening contractor relationships. *Key Responsibilities* * Greet and assist walk-in customers professionally and efficiently * Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries * Process sales orders, invoices, returns, and payments accurately * Prepare detailed quotes and follow up on open opportunities * Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within orders * Support contractor accounts with pricing, product recommendations, and availability * Coordinate with yard staff for accurate and timely order fulfillment * Communicate with purchasing regarding stock levels and special orders * Assist outside sales representatives with order entry and account support * Maintain accurate customer records and activity tracking * Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly *Performance Standards* * High level of accuracy in order entry and pricing * Strong organization and time management * Professional communication in person and over the phone * Reliable follow-up and accountability * Ability to perform under pressure during peak hours * Team-oriented mindset with a focus on branch success *Qualifications* * 2?3+ years of customer service or inside sales experience (building materials preferred) * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment * Proficient with computers and order-entry systems * Self-motivated and results-driven *Why Join Uppal Building Supplies* * Full-time, stable employment * Growth opportunities within a growing, family-owned company * Support from experienced sales and operations teams * Competitive compensation *Job Type:* Full-time Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Work Location: In person
