Farm House Natural Cheeses is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented *Artisan Cheesemaker* to join our production team in Agassiz, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing high-quality food products, and is interested in learning the traditional craft of artisan cheesemaking. As an Artisan Cheesemaker, you will be involved in various stages of cheese production, from receiving and pasteurizing fresh cow and goat milk to cheese care, packaging, and maintaining food safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Assist with the production and processing of artisan cheeses made from cow and goat milk. * Receive, handle, and pasteurize milk according to established production procedures. * Perform daily cheese care tasks to ensure product quality and consistency. * Fill, package, and label finished products according to production specifications. * Clean, wash, and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas. * Complete daily production records, logs, and food safety documentation accurately. * Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. * Monitor product quality and report any production concerns or equipment issues. * Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals. * Assist with other production-related duties as required. Qualifications and Skills * Previous experience in food production, dairy processing, or manufacturing is an asset but not required. * An interest in learning artisan cheesemaking techniques and processes. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. * Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and established production procedures accurately. * Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating production quantities. * Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and take initiative when required. * Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset. * Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills. *Training will be provided for the right candidate.* Physical Requirements and Working Conditions * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive physical tasks. * Ability to work safely around production machinery, sharp tools, and heated equipment. * Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, including warm production areas and refrigerated spaces. * Ability to safely use ladders and access elevated work areas when required. * Willingness to work overtime when production demands require it. Work Schedule * Full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week. * Shifts scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. * Must be available to work weekdays and weekends based on production requirements. * Additional hours may be required during busy production periods. Compensation and Benefits *Hourly Wage:* $20.00?$22.00, based on experience and qualifications.
