Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Floriculture production. Hot. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination. Cut agricultural seed according to farm standards. Deleaf agricultural crops to accelerate ripening . Greenhouse cleaning. Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions. Harvest seedlings. Mixing fertilizer. Operate climate controls. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Weeding. Write daily basic progress reports. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift.
