This position requires an individual to have the capability to obtain specialized knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures and techniques to include coverage issues, product lines, relevant systems, and competition in the marketplace.</p><p><u></u></p><p><u><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Profitably grow portfolio by generating new business growth above targets. </li><li>Profitably underwrite and retain assigned Management Liability portfolio of complex accounts (Public/Private Directors & Officers (D&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Fiduciary and Crime. </li><li>Work closely with team members, management, and Product Leaders in Management Liability to ensure consistency with underwriting protocols & product strategies. </li><li>At the Senior Underwriter level: Provide mentorship to Associate Underwriters and Underwriters including being a key referral point for the team. </li><li>Demonstrate effective prioritization of workload and provide superior customer service. </li><li>Drive innovation to improve the efficiency of the Management Liability renewal process and ease of do- Location Toronto, ON
