Provides context and perspective to Software Development I and Software Engineer I regarding engineering design decisions as well as business requirements that influence implementation details.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Shares new trends and techniques via various forums, like chapters.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Develops supporting and configuration documentation and provides guidance in delivering technical documentation. <br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Provides input and expertise to QA team on application testing.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Provides work estimates for their own development tasks and verifies work estimates of others. <br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Performs code reviews and walkthroughs of system design and developed code.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Participates in and contributes to requirement definition working sessions, specification development and solution design.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Develops applications to specifications within the required timeframe and budget.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Identifies risks and escalates to project/product leadership on a timely basis.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Pinpoints strengths and weaknesses of various design alternatives and selects or recommends appropriate solutions.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Proactively suggests alternative methods or resources for getting work done when obstacles arise.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Reviews systems for completion and system performance objectives.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Recommends changes across the engineering practices to improve the team's cycle time as well as lead time for the team's product backlog.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Supports the change in the adoption of new engineering practices.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Independently engages and actively participates in project-related discussion with product management teams to recommend product features and changes to product features to improve the user experience, operation and maintainability of the product.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Participates in development of engineering plans and systems specifications with Lead Engineers.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Collaborates with project members to ensure alignment of practices, patterns, and solutions.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Ensures work aligns to broader roadmaps and systems strategies.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Stays abreast of evolving technology, architecture, and design, patter- Location Toronto, ON
