What You'll Do This isn't your average job. You'll be part of a team that keeps remote sites running smoothly. As a Janitor you will: Maintains premises in a clean and orderly mannerCleans light fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, furniture, windows and window frames, floors and carpetsCleans by dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sweepingReplenishes suppliesMoves furniture Delivers requisition orders to clientWhere an item or piece of equipment requires repair, this is reported to maintenanceEnsuring the manager is aware of the ordering needs for his/her departmentWears the appropriate PPE as per Sodexo regulationsMaintaining a friendly contact with clients and respecting their right to choice, dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all timesPerform custodial duties to ensure all are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary mannerDriving from different locations on the siteComplete cleaning duty checklists as requestedMaintain job related equipment, materials, and supplies in a safe manner to ensure the safety of staff and the publicEnsuring proper reporting, documentation, and clear lines of communication with supervisorsAdhere to relevant company procedures and policiesEnsuring the managers are aware of the ordering needs for his/her departmentAdds detergent and cleaning agents to the washer, in accordance with the SIMDUT.Participation in staff meetingsParticipation in training activitiesQualificationsWhat You Bring A sense of adventure and readiness to live and work in a remote setting A team-first attitude and strong communication skills Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods) Commitment to safety, respect, and inclusion One year of experience preferredRelated custodian / janitorial experience is preferredKnowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipmentAbility to use tools and equipment and to perform the physical aspect of the jobKnowledge and understanding of safe work practices including WHMIS, SIMDUTAbility to work flexible hours, including split shifts and weekend coverageProven commitment to safety, health, and environmental standardsAble to take direction, follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities and multi-taskingStrong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervisionA team player that works respectfully and cooperatively with othersAbility to work under supervision and follow standard procedures, and compliance with all health and safety standardsAdditional InformationWhy Sodexo?
