Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst *Location: *Mississauga, ON *Reports To: *Sr. Manager ? Financial Reporting *Employment Type: *Contract ? 1-year term Position Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the financial health and accountability of the organization. This position is responsible for financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and compliance, with a focus on enhancing decision-making and ensuring transparency in line with CRA regulations for registered charities. Key Responsibilities: *Financial Reporting & Analysis* · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including T3010 filings. · Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support strategic decisions. · Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI. · Support the preparation of audit working papers and liaise with external auditors. Budgeting & Forecasting · Support the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department leads. · Monitor actuals vs. budget and provide timely forecasts and recommendations. · Assist in multi-year financial planning and scenario modeling. Accounting Operations · Review and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. · Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profits (ASNPO). · Maintain internal controls and support process improvements. Compliance & Risk Management · Ensure compliance with CRA regulations for registered charities. · Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. · Support risk assessments and internal audits. Systems & Process Improvement · Leverage financial systems (e.g., Business Central) to streamline processes. · Identify and resolve data integrity issues and improve reporting accuracy. · Train and support staff in financial systems and reporting tools. Qualifications: · CPA designation (or in final stages of completion). · Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting. · Experience in the not-for-profit or charitable sector is strongly preferred. · Strong knowledge of CRA charity compliance requirements. · Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) is an asset. · Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Assets: · Experience managing multiple legal entities and currencies. · Familiarity with fund accounting and donor reporting. *Salary Range: * · $70,000 ? 87,500 per year The PAOC is a Christian organization that engages in Christian ministry, serving the Christian community.
