<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Transport heavy, oversized, and high-value equipment safely using Quantum Equipment's tractors, specialized trailers, and project-support fleet.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Operate assigned tractors and specialized trailers for heavy-haul, oversize-load, machinery, and industrial-equipment moves.</li><li>Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, logbooks, and defect reports before and after dispatch.</li><li>Work with the field crew to verify load placement, weight distribution, securement, dimensions, permits, and the planned route.</li><li>Coordinate clearly with dispatch, pilot vehicles, crane and rigging crews, customers, and site personnel.</li><li>Maneuver safely in yards, loading areas, active project sites, and other restricted-access locations.</li><li>Protect the equipment and cargo, maintain required documents, and report changes or hazards before proceeding.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>A valid Alberta Class 1 driver's licence and an acceptable commercial driver's abstract.</li><li>Relevant heavy-haul, oversize-load, specialized-trailer, or industrial transport experience.</li><li>Practical knowledge of load securement, weights and dimensions, route restrictions, permits, and equipment inspections.</li><li>Strong judgment, clear communication, and a safety-first approach around cranes, rigging crews, and customer sites.</li><li>Current safety tickets and transportation credentials are assets; include all licences and certifications with your application.</li><li>Legal eligibility to work in Canada.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Schedule & location</strong></b></p><p>Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with overtime when project needs require. This position is based at Quantum Equipment's Calgary shop and works on pickup, delivery, and project routes as scheduled.</p></div></div>- Location Prince George, BCV2N 0A3
