In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping and sanitation conditions to ensure food safety regulations and other local regulations are met, prevent failures and maintain safe work areas.To maintain the hatchery facility in a state of optimum cleanliness and to ensure proper egg handling requirements are followed for efficient operation. Key AccountabilitiesWashing, disinfecting and/or chemically sanitizing all hatchery equipment, floors and walls through the use of high pressure washers, garden hoses and automatic wash machinesPerforming manual cleaning duties as requiredMaintaining care in all egg handling procedures to ensure optimum sanitation and subsequent hatch resultsWearing and maintaining personal protective equipmentMaintaining total awareness of and ensures compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act and Company Health & Safety policiesUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentEnsures strict adherence to bio-security rules and regulationsOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticePreferred Qualifications:Previous Sanitation ExperiencePrevious Production ExperienceHigh School diploma or EquivalentThis Full-time position is located in Jarvis, ON however please expect receiving calls from a 204-area code in case you are considered.
