*RESPONSIBILTIES* Reporting to senior management, the Structural Engineer will: * Perform structural calculations and prepare specifications and detailed designs in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices. * Lead and supervise the production of structural design drawings. * Manage and deliver multidisciplinary engineering projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. * Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professional service. * Conduct or oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and structural investigations. * Evaluate existing structures and provide recommendations for repair, rehabilitation, or replacement. * Prepare technical reports, memoranda, and presentations. * Act as Contract Administrator during construction and perform site reviews as required. * Review contractor shop drawings and respond to construction-related inquiries. * Develop project budgets, proposals, and scopes of work for new opportunities. * Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure successful project delivery. * Perform quality control reviews of structural engineering services. * Mentor and manage junior and intermediate engineers, technicians, and support staff. *QUALIFICATIONS* The ideal candidate will possess: * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is considered an asset). * Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario. * Minimum of 5 years of progressive structural engineering experience. * Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, and applicable standards for concrete, steel, and wood structures. * Advanced experience with structural analysis and design software. * Proficiency with AutoCAD; MicroStation experience is an asset. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. * Experience in the design of concrete, steel, and wood structures. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for travel to project sites.
