Education: Bachelor's degree. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Clean. Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. Tasks: Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process. Prepare production and other reports. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Supervision: 16-20 people. Labourers in food, beverage and tobacco processing. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hazard Analysis and Criticial Control Points (HACCP) Certification. Computer and technology knowledge: HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge. Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control. Manufacturing sector experience: Food. Regulations knowledge: Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Attention to detail. Work under pressure.
