Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team. Examine patients to assess general physical condition. Interpret medical test results . Perform diagnostic tests. Perform or assist with interventions such as airway maintenance, line insertions, inductions and intubations. Perform pacemaker checks. Provide patient and family education. Administer various substances through heart-lung machines. Operate and monitor respiratory equipment to administer treatments. Perform artificial respiration and external cardiac massage. Advise patients on health care. Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
