The Position Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Administrative Assistant supports both financial operations and organizational administration. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of accounts payable functions while providing high-level administrative support in key areas including Board coordination, housing subsidy administration, and general office operations.The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organization, and contributes to efficient financial processes, effective governance support, and smooth day-to-day administrative functions across the organization.Overview Job status: Permanent part-time Job title: Finance & Administrative Assistant Hours of Work: 35 hours per week Work site: Lift Head Office Date Posted: June 17, 2026 Close Date: July 1, 2026 Hourly wage: $24.54 per hour Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager Qualifications Certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of two (2) years' experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or administrative support. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting systems. Experience working with databases and record management systems. Skills and Assets Accounts payable and financial record administration Invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment coordination Financial accuracy, organization, and audit-ready documentation Vendor and staff communication and customer service Meeting and calendar coordination Records management and administrative documentation Housing subsidy and program administration support Database management and waitlist coordination Report preparation and information tracking General office administration and reception support Strong organizational, confidentiality, and multitasking skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and administrative systems Working Condition and Physical Requirements Primarily office-based environment. Standard hours of work, with occasional flexibility required during peak financial period (e.g., month-end) and to support Lift meetings. Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
