Part-Time Line & Prep Cook *Plant Matter Kitchen ? Wortley Village, London, ON* *Mondays only ? approximately 10 hours per week* Plant Matter Kitchen is hiring a *Part-Time Line & Prep Cook* to join our back-of-house team on Mondays. This position is ideal for someone with some kitchen experience who is looking for consistent part-time work in a busy, high-standard restaurant kitchen. We are willing to train the right person with minimal experience, but you must be quick, efficient, reliable, and able to manage your time well. Plant-based kitchen experience is not required. What matters most is a positive attitude, the ability to move quickly, and a willingness to learn our systems, menu, and standards. Key Details * Part-time position * Mondays only * Approximately 10 hours per week * Pay starts at $18.00 per hour * Some kitchen experience required * Willing to train the right person with minimal experience * Must be quick, efficient, and reliable * Training provided under our Executive Chef and Sous Chef * Primarily scratch-made kitchen with most items prepared in-house * Opportunity to learn plant-based cooking techniques * Busy open-concept kitchen * Free meal on shift * Located in Wortley Village, London, ON * No early mornings or late nights Responsibilities * Assist with line service during busy periods * Complete prep tasks efficiently and to spec * Prepare menu items accurately and consistently * Learn Plant Matter Kitchen?s menu, systems, and plating standards * Assist with scratch-made prep and in-house production * Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation * Follow food safety standards, including proper storage, FIFO rotation, and temperature controls * Communicate clearly with the kitchen team during service * Stay calm, focused, and professional during busy periods * Support the kitchen team wherever needed What We?re Looking For * Some back-of-house kitchen experience * Must have a valid food handlers * Someone quick, focused, and efficient * Strong time management * Reliability and punctuality * A positive attitude and willingness to learn * Ability to work well in a small team * Comfort working in a busy restaurant environment Plant Matter Kitchen is a scratch-made, plant-based restaurant in the heart of Wortley Village.
