<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong><strong>The Opportunity</strong></strong></p><p>Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Manager, Accounting is responsible for all areas enabling timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting workflow process improvement, and pursuing special projects.</p><p><strong>You Will</strong></p><ul><li>Managing all aspects of accounting functions including period-end closing, financial statements preparation and accounts reconciliation.</li><li>Examining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and system to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.</li><li>Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures and streamlining management & business practices to improve quality of financial information.</li><li>Managing both internal and external financial, stewardship and related compliance reviews and audits.</li><li>Supporting the execution of department & company goals, and other related projects and initiatives.</li><li>Identifying & evaluating opportunities on workflow process improvement to enhance efficiency.</li><li>Supporting the US expansion in relation to accounting & tax, banking, inventory, product movement, auditing, process, and system enhancement.</li><li>Other ad hoc duties and assignments as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>You Should Have / Be</strong></p><ul><li>Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.</li><li>Accounting designation (or working towards) is highly preferred.</li><li>Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in an accounting environment.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory / management role is an asset.</li><li>Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the period-end / year-end close process.</li><li>Accuracy and attention to details, taking ownership with critical thinking.</li><li>Energetic and influential leader with aptitude to embrace change and passion to strive for excellency & integrity for success.</li><li>Advanced Microsoft applications with excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.</li><li>Ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Performance bonuses</li><li>Long term disability insurance </li><li>Extended <span class="long-word">health/dental/vision</span> care</li><li>Retirement benefit</li><li>Life/AD&D insurance </li><li>Paid vacation, sick, marriage, bereavement leaves</li><li>10% in-store staff purchase discount</li><li>Subsidized staff meal</li></ul><p><strong>Shift</strong><br />5-day work week (Monday to Friday), 9:00am - 5:30pm (Actual working hours may vary slightly by department, depending on operational needs.)</p><p><strong>Safety Statement</strong><br />Safety continues to be T&T Supermarket's top priority.
