*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and order picking tasks. The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment. *Responsibilities* * Safely operate various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials within the warehouse * Load and unload goods from trucks, storage areas, and production lines with precision * Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately * Perform order picking tasks efficiently to fulfill customer orders and internal requests * Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly * Assist with inventory counts and organize stock in designated storage locations * Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during forklift operation * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments and deliveries *Experience* * Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred * Certification in forklift operation is required; experience with clamp trucks and order pickers is a plus * Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting minor equipment issues * Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control * Basic math skills necessary for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily responsibilities * Experience with order picking processes within a fast-paced warehouse setting is advantageous This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our logistics team, supporting efficient warehouse operations through safe and effective forklift operation.
