Be part of it by applying for a position with us today.As the Senior Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will be responsible for leading and executing initiatives with a strong focus on documentation, processes, tools, and training & development. That will require research, monitoring, and resolving/aligning market differences and gaps.You will play a key role in improving efficiency within Group Underwriting tools and processes, while supporting growth and persistency strategies.What You Will DoSupport the Group Underwriting leadership team by aligning processes and tools, including (but not limited to): Online GUM, Access, Renewal Template Quote Template, Manual Rates Calculator, Case Initiative Identifier, Execution of the Group Underwriting Best Practice roadmapLead and implement best practice initiatives within the Underwriting team Design and facilitate a training curriculum to support underwriters from entry level to experienced roles Conduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Release the monthly Underwriting Bulletin when the Best Practice Analyst is unavailable Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for underwriting tools Act as a liaison with internal partners (e.g., EIS, Finance, IT) and lead or contribute to mini projects as required Provide guidance and support to the Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, as neededWhat You Need To SucceedPost-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.Minimum 5 years of progressive Group Underwriting experience, including exposure to various funding arrangementsDemonstrated understanding of customer needs and underwriting processes, with a solid awareness of related business areasBroad understanding of how internal and external processes operate at Medavie Blue CrossStrong underwriting and business acumen, with the ability to: Identify root causes of issues, evaluate alternative solutions and make sound, practical recommendationsWhat Will Set You ApartClear and confident verbal and written communication, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and situationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, milestones, and deadlinesHigh levels of initiative, accountability, and perseveranceSelf?directed, results?oriented, and highly dependableDemonstrates an understanding of how their role contributes to the overall Group Underwriting functionProactively supports others in resolving issues and improving processesGroup Benefits Associate (GBA) designation considered an assetBilingualism (French and English) considered as a strong asset.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and a comprehensive total rewards package, including health, dental, and well- Location Montréal, QC
