Operate paper converting machines to form products. Operate machines which cut, glue and fold paper. Operate machines which glue paper to cardboard and cut it. Operate machines which press paper. Estimate costs and materials. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment. Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications. Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants. Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials. Supervision: Paper converting machine operators. Papermaking and coating control operators. Area of specialization: Machinery and components. Machinery or equipment repair. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail.
