*Pay:* CA$52.00 per hour *Job description:* Job Posting Nuclear Medicine Technologist Are you a patient focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist with excellent clinical skills looking for a great environment with an outstanding team? Windsor Heart institute is recruiting a part-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our growing Diagnostic Nuclear Cardiology facility. This position could be for occassional weekday shifts and 1-2 Saturday shifts per month. Also, the individual could cover the vacations of the full time Technologists. We are flexible and can discuss the types of shifts. The successful candidate will have experience in performing Nuclear Cardiology studies, processing data and assisting with stress testing. Responsibilities include patient preparation and history taking, imaging, processing of Cardiac studies per WHI protocols, and adhering to all Licensing and Radiation Safety guidelines set out by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: · Successful completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine · Member in good standing of the CMRITO · Member in good standing with CAMRT · Minimum 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine · Current CPR and First Aid Training *B.C.L.S certificate* · Knowledge of EMR systems · Effective interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. · Excellent oral and written communication skills · Demonstrates ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision · Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize workload · Demonstrates flexibility within roles and responsibilities with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in patient scheduling · Demonstrates commitment to patient safety · Physical ability to perform the duties of the position · Excellent and dependable attendance record · Demonstrates excellent knowledge of, and is able to perform cardiac nuclear medicine procedures · Demonstrates commitment to maintaining / enhancing professional competence through participation in appropriate continuing education activities · General good health and a level of functional ability appropriate to the demands of the position Job Duties: · Utilize principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to self, co-workers and patients. · Perform Nuclear Diagnostic procedures while adhering to CMRITO/CAMRT guidelines. · Perform regular quality control of department instrumentation and report anomalies to Manager.Ordering and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic procedures · Image analysis and data manipulation · Receipt and transport of TDG class 7 items · Provide quality care and service to patients and the referring team Benefits: · HOOPP - Healthcare of Ontario Pension Program · On-site parking Job Types: Part-time Experience: · Nuclear Medicine: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: · CMRITO License (required) · CAMRT membership required Job Type: Part-time Pay: $52.00 per hour Benefits: * On-site parking Work Location: In person- Location Windsor, ON
