JOB DESCRIPTIONCavendish Agri's trucking division is looking for Class 1A truck drivers to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting potatoes to the Cavendish Farms plants, in New Annan.It is a LONG TERM COONTRACT position starting immediately, 3 months probation term and contract renewed annually.Benefits package is available upon completion of 1000 hours of work.This is a rotational role during daytime hours (12-14 hour shift) running 4 days on and 4 days off.Wage - $23/hourWork Location - based out of New Annan, PE.RESPONSIBILITIESHaul potatoes from the storages to the plant.Perform vehicle inspections; clean and perform mandatory maintenance to equipment including basic troubleshooting.Perform all tasks with safety being the number one priority.Ensure completion of paperwork.Represent the company in a professional, positive and pleasant manner.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSClass-1A driver's license and clean driver's abstract.Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends. Bulk hauling experience would be considered an asset.Previous experience with live-bottom trailer would be an asset.High degree of attention to detail.ABOUT THE TEAMCavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops.
