Job DescriptionWhat is the Opportunity?RBC Client Cards Technology team is looking for a technical and highly skilled E2E QA Lead to manage end-to-end testing cycles for multiple projects (re to mainly Mainframe-based systems). You will design E2E testing strategies, develop test flows and scenarios, coordinate test data creation, execute application specific test cases and ensure quality standards across all participating teams.Our team supports a large, sophisticated mainframe-based system connecting RBC clients to their banking products through critical delivery channels such as Online/Mobile Banking, POS, and ATM.What will you do?Lead E2E QA activities, working with internal teams (Business, Operations, Finance) and external partners (Visa, TSYS, Thales)Design E2E test strategies, test flows, and scenarios in collaboration with project teamsCreate test plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans for multi-team projects or multi-projects teamExecute application specific test cases, for the application team supportsIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the testing lifecycleManage change requests, scope adjustments, and negotiate timelines across teamsProvide consolidated status updates and presentations to senior managementTranslate technical issues into business impact for non-technical stakeholdersFacilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops; resolve conflicts to keep projects on trackCreate sign-off documents and support implementation planningOwn design, implementation, and maintenance of test artifactsLeverage automation products and apply deep domain knowledge to ensure quality standardsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have:Min 5 years QA Testing experience in Mainframe environmentsMin 3 years' experience with test strategy and approach at both project and E2E levelExperience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies (hybrid approach)Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and senior leadership reporting skillsProven ability to negotiate timelines, resolve conflicts, and manage competing prioritiesExperience creating test plans, schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plansChange management experience (scope changes, timeline adjustments)Ability to translate technical issues into business impact and facilitate cross-functional workshopsSolid understanding of APIs, automation, service virtualization, and database validationComputer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree/diplomaNice-to-have:Software Quality Certifications (ISTQB, CSTE)Financial services/banking experience and large-scale enterprise project experienceCard-based payments knowledge; Canadian payment industry and ISO 20022 StandardsMainframe development/testing (COBOL, IMS) experienceWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
