We value an inclusive culture and strive to maintain a supportive and welcoming workplace. *Position Summary:* *Duration: 9 weeks (30 hrs per week)* The Event Coordinator will support the planning and execution of Al Mustafa Canada events. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks using both conventional and digital tools. *Responsibilities* * Assist with event planning, including timeline creation and event calendar preparation * Coordinate logistics using project management tools to ensure smooth execution * Support event promotion through digital channels, including creating content using AI tools * Coordinate with vendors, volunteers, staff, and third-party partners * Secure and liaise with special speakers and entertainers for future events * Provide on-site support during event setup, operations, and teardown * Work with the media coverage team to ensure proper event visibility * Collect and analyze guest feedback through digital surveys * Recommend and integrate environmentally sustainable practices into events * Prepare post-event reports with insights and recommendations for future improvements * Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor *Access to a vehicle and a valid driver?s license are an asset. * *Fluency in languages other than English is an asset.* *Eligibility* This position is a part of Canada Summer Jobs initiative. To be eligible for the program you must: * Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment. * Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, * Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
