Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dairy. Tasks: Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals. Diagnose livestock health issues. Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses. Handling animals. Monitor the calving process. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly . Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Milking system (automated). Tractor. Farm truck. Loader. Skidsteer. Hand tools.
