Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tasks: Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property. Schedule work. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Tender and administer contracts. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Maintain financial and personnel records. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Perform same duties as workers supervised. Supervision: 16-20 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Initiative. Team player. Flexibility. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Employment terms options: Shift. Morning.
