*Job Title: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) ? Part Time* *Location:* Kelowna, British Columbia *Position Type:* Part-Time ? 20+ Hours Per Week *Program Type:* Licensed Multi-Age Child Care (18 Months to School Age) *Position Summary:* We are seeking a dedicated and passionate *Early Childhood Educator (ECE)* to join our team in Kelowna, BC. This role provides classroom support and break coverage within our licensed Multi-Age Child Care Programs serving children aged *18 months to school age*. Working as part of a collaborative team, the successful candidate will help create a *nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment* that supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The educator will also build positive relationships with families and ensure daily operations align with *BC Child Care Licensing Regulations*. This position offers *20+ hours per week*, with opportunities for additional hours and potential growth into a *full-time role* as the center continues to expand. Key Responsibilities: * Support educators across multiple licensed Multi-Age Child Care classrooms. * Provide break coverage and assist with daily classroom operations. * Ensure the program meets all licensing and safety requirements under the *Community Care and Assisted Living Act* and *Child Care Licensing Regulation*. * Maintain daily records including attendance, health checks, incident reports, and communication logs. Child Development & Care * Support and implement *play-based, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate activities*. * Encourage children?s *social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development*. * Guide children in self-regulation, problem-solving, and respectful peer interactions. * Maintain a *safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment*. Parent & Family Engagement * Communicate with families about their child?s routines, progress, and needs. * Build respectful and trusting relationships with families and caregivers. Teamwork & Professionalism * Work collaboratively with fellow educators, support staff, consultants, and licensing officers when required. * Participate in professional development opportunities. * Maintain current knowledge of *early childhood education best practices and BC Early Learning Framework principles*.
