Plan and organize daily operations. Plan for changes to schedules and policies. Prepare reports for senior management. Supervise staff. Train staff. Manage finances or budget. Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit. Ensure transport compliance with regulations. Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods. Negotiate for services and preferential rates. Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods. Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Team player.
