Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Co-ordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors. Complete and maintain station records, logs and reports. Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams. Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunction. Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures. Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair. Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities. Operate automated or computerized control systems. Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical systems failures. Manage the operations of electrical power distribution systems, plan and direct the distribution activities of a municipal electrical power establishment.
