Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Management. Chemical application certificate or licence. Tasks: Determine type of treatment required. Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Perform administrative tasks. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Cut weeds and undergrowth. Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of an establishment. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Spray herbicides from the ground using manual spraying equipment. Identify customers' needs . Identify and document potential environmental and safety problems . Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial Pesticide Applicator Licence. Equipment and machinery experience: Electrical sprayers. Mechanical sprayer. Weed trimmer/edger. Safety equipment. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Area of specialization: Pesticides. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Drive manual transmission vehicle. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding.
