Join The Upper Canada District School Board <p> Creating Futures, Leading and Learning for All PSSP Position 2024/2025 School Year <p> POSITION TITLE: Board Certified Behaviour Analyst -Temporary (LTO) <p> LOCATION: Tagwi Office<p> REPORTS TO : Chief Psychologist <p> SALARY : $70,607- $86,352, commensurate with experience<p> START DATE: September 3, 2024<p> END DATE: June 27, 2025, or return of incumbent, whichever is earlier<p> FTE: 1.0 (35 hours per week) JOB SUMMARY: <p> Under the direction of the Chief Psychologist, the Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) will take the lead role in coordinating and supporting the efforts of multi-disciplinary school and regional teams by providing consultation, training, and resource development including the deployment of resources and services. The role will provide very specialized services in a tiered approach throughout the UCDSB and will assist in the development of board/department planning for students with behavioural needs. The Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst will provide behavioural consultation and/or assessment regarding evidence-based strategies and interventions at the school level for individual students. The Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst may represent the Board with community partners and the Ministry, when appropriate. <p> In coordination with our community partners, the Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst will provide ongoing system wide professional development for elementary and secondary school staff through the coordination of in-service opportunities to extend awareness and use of evidence-based strategies to support students with behavioural challenges and others as required. <p> Skills Required: Extensive knowledge and experience working with professionals who support students with behavioural challenges <p> Understanding of self-regulation as it relates to behavioural intervention<p> Strong knowledge of functional behavioural assessment (FBA) process<p> Strong understanding of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies <p> Proven behavioural intervention experience with children/youth with ASD and/or other complex needs<p> Demonstrated ability/experience working within a consultative model<p> Proficiency in planning and delivering adult education<p> Knowledge of the elementary and secondary education system in Ontario<p> Knowledge and implementation of school board policies, regulations and procedures<p> Competencies in the development, delivery and evaluation of training programs and strategies in face to face and virtual setting<p> Successful experience working collaboratively with community partners<p> Superior interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills<p> Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing<p> Excellent organizational and coordinating skills<p> Strong analytical, assessment and intervention skills<p> Ability to work independently and as a team member<p> Understanding of relevant legal and confidentiality issues pertaining to children and adolescents and document storage and retention <p> Duties & Responsibilities: <p> Using evidence-based strategies, enhances educators knowledge, skills, and practices, with respect to the characteristics of students
