Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Help desk. Tasks: Coordinate access and use of computer networks. Install software. Install web server hardware and software. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Provide problem-solving services to network users. Implement data, software and hardware security procedures. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Sitting.
