DISTRICT SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST <p>The Board of Education of School District No. 50 (Haida Gwaii) is seeking a TEMPORARY full-time (1.0 FTE) School Psychologist effective September 3, 2024 until June 28, 2025. <p>Requirements: A Master's Degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology or equivalent; <p> BC College of Teachers certification; <p> Membership in the BC College of Psychologists; <p> Training and recent experience in providing psych-educational assessments for K- 12 students (Level C as per Ministry guidelines); <p> Knowledge and skills in the identification procedures and program planning for students with diverse learning needs including autism, behavioural and developmental exceptionalities, learning disabilities, etc.; <p> Working knowledge of and experience in Indigenous education; <p> Proven experience in the development of positive, collaborative and consultative working relationships with students, parents, colleagues and school support staff; <p> The ability to write clear and effective reports; <p> The ability to assist school based Special Education and Learning Resource teachers; <p> Be a strong advocate for students with diverse learning needs; <p> The ability to use technology effectively and efficiently; <p> Valid BC Driver's License.
