We are currently accepting applications for the position of: Labour Relations Coordinator Position Type: Permanent effective Immediately Salary Range - $64,791 - $80,5011 (Under Review) POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Manager of Employee Relations, the Labour Relations Coordinator provides support ongoing cases including but not limited to grievances, arbitration procedures, workplace investigations, and collective bargaining, amongst others. The Labour Relations Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Employee Relations Officers and the Manager of Employee Relations by supporting their assigned client portfolio. This position also liaises with internal staff and external stakeholders such as legal counsel, Union representatives, the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT), the Peel Children's Aid Society (CAS), and the Dufferin Child & Family Services (DCAFS), amongst others. Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position. QUALIFICATIONS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Human Resources, Labour/Industrial Relations. 3 years experience in a directly related experience. CHRP preferred or at a minimum in the process of obtaining the designation OR Equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE: Thorough knowledge of labour relations, collective agreements, human resources practices, policies/procedures and the grievance arbitration process. Excellent computer skills. Demonstrated initiative, and organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with limited supervision and meet timelines. Excellent analytical and research skills, with demonstrated attention to detail. Excellent note-taking abilities and proofreading skills. Experience in a multi-unionized environment. Experience with electronic file management.
