<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Kangaroo Contracting Inc. is a Decking and Fence Installation and Landscape Maintenance company located in Nanaimo, BC. We are looking to hire additional landscape maintenance labourers to our team!</p><p>Job Requirements:</p><ul><li>A VALID Class 5 Driver's license</li><li>A RELIABLE vehicle to get to and from office/yard to pick up work truck and trailer</li><li>A working cell phone with a plan (we need to be able to get a hold of you during a shift)</li><li>Clean criminal record check</li><li>Must be prepared to work outside in any and all-weather conditions and wear appropriate work clothing including steel toe boots and Safety vest</li><li>Must be able to lift, carry, and push equipment and materials like lawn clippings</li><li>Must be sober and smoke free while on shift (includes the use of marijuana and vaping of any kind)</li><li>Must be familiar with and can operate small machines such as a gas lawn mower, weed whacker, leaf blower etc.</li><li>Must be able to follow basic instruction, complete a daily list of work tasks in a timely manner</li><li>Must have an attention to detail, be willing to learn, and take pride in their work</li><li>Must be a team player and be trusted to work semi-independently</li></ul><p>Job Description:</p><p>Assisting our lead hand with the following daily tasks:</p><p>Lawn Mowing, Edging, Weed Whacking, Top Dressing, Garden Bed Cleaning and Maintenance, Pruning, Fertilizing, Weeding, Hauling and Bagging Yard Waste, and Irrigation Work.</p><p><strong>*Please provide reliable references with resume (they will be contacted)</strong></p><p>Job Type: Full-Time</p><p>Salary: $18.00-$22.00/hr (depending on experience, work ethic, and productivity)</p><p>Schedule:</p><ul><li>8 hour shift 8:00am-4:30pm</li><li>Monday to Friday</li></ul><p>Work Location:</p><p>We service a range of commercial and residential locations in Nanaimo, BC. Employee would be required to arrive at the company address and ride in the work truck to the designated job site.</p></div></div>- LocationNanaimo, BC
