We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented *Purchasing Clerk* to join the Arcfield team in *Calgary*. Reporting to the Senior Supply Chain Manager, you will use your knowledge of purchasing processes to assist the department in getting quotes, managing vendors, creating purchase orders, and expediting orders.
Responsibilities:
* Review requests for POs and create them using custom software.
* Obtain quotes and provide feedback to internal staff on status.
* Liaise with vendors on quote updates, delivery dates and problem resolution.
* Perform reviews of vendors for addition to our Approved Vendor List.
* Complete updates in our custom software on pricing, deliveries, and vendor information.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 3-5 years purchasing experience OR 1-3 years? experience working in purchasing with applicable post-secondary education in relevant field.
* Strong administrative background
* Minimum high school diploma
* Computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with some exposure to database (i.e. SAP) programs.
* Detail oriented with good time management skills and able to communicate well with a broad range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Aerospace or other regulated purchasing and/or knowledge of the transport industry (air/rail/ship/etc.)
* Worked with Accounting and/or Contracts departments.
