Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate. Enter client information in databases. Help pharmacists. Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products. Maintain prescription records . Prepare medications for clients. Set up and dismantle equipment. Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages. Clean and maintain equipment. Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products. Help with scheduling and workflow. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Record information about donors. Bill third party insurers. Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Collect statistics. Maintain supplies. Maintain inventory of equipment. Perform general clerical duties. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Advise patients on care and use of ocular prostheses. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Schedule and confirm appointments. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
