We are currently seeking a *Senior Analyst* to join our Finance team, supporting initial feasibility analysis, acquisition due diligence and assisting on financing applications. This role would ideally suit someone with strong analytical skills coupled with a passion for building community through affordable rental housing projects and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of project stakeholders. The successful candidate will be someone with strong attention to detail, great problem-solving, time-management, a keen sense of curiosity, and the ability to embrace a diverse workload with a positive and results-oriented focus.
Reporting to the *Manager, Finance*, your responsibilities would include:
* Creating and maintaining proformas throughout the project life cycle.
* Modelling debt and equity structures to help mitigate risk that meet or exceed project affordability targets.
* Ongoing review of land and development acquisition opportunities.
* Ongoing market research and review of development activities in our region, particularly market rental and non-market rental projects.
* Ongoing review of government activity and policy as it pertains to Catalyst?s current or future development work, including funding announcements at all levels of government.
* Ongoing review of new financing opportunities and policies through preferred lenders.
* Leading funding and grant applications.
* Preparing financial packages related to project financing.
* Conducting financial & real estate market analysis.
* Special projects as may be assigned.

* Responsive, thoughtful, and analytical by nature, with a strong aptitude for finance/numbers.
* Enjoys the details, getting things right, staying organized, developing systems.
* Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to manage your time without a lot of supervision.
* Enjoys being part of a team and recognizes the importance of each member of the team and their roles.
* Highly skilled at developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* An excellent collaborator with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Qualifications/Experience*
* Degree/Diploma in management/business, real estate, planning, urban land economics, or similar
* Professional designation such as CPA or CFA considered an asset.
* A minimum of two years directly relevant work experience
* Advanced Excel skills, with exceptional modelling skills.
* Experience working with other non-profits and in the affordable housing sector considered an asset.
