<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>JOB OVERVIEW:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.</p><p><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including P&L statements, balance sheet reports, and monthly financial statements.</li><li>Utilize budgets and various tools to analyze variances and reconcile payments applied against significant contract values.</li><li>Prepare inter-company reconciliations for transactions between different entities.</li><li>Reconcile all GST/HST remittances, legislated taxes, and assessments.</li><li>Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, addressing outstanding items promptly.</li><li>Monitor and review monthly receivables for accuracy, adjustments, and corrections.</li><li>Ensure all tenant administration duties adhere to documentation requirements.</li><li>Complete year-end operating cost adjustments and tenant billings for assigned properties.</li><li>Manage the accounting portion of property budgets and annual business plans within specified deadlines.</li><li>Ensure timely dispatch of new rental notices to tenants before the operating year commences.</li><li>Prepare supporting working papers and documentation for the year-end audit and tax filing processes.</li><li>Handle annual property tax invoicing for tenants who do not pay monthly.</li><li>Oversee new property setup, analysis, and resolution of outstanding issues.</li><li>Manage property sales, including final operating statements, funds distribution, GST reconciliation, bank account closure, and other relevant closing duties.</li><li>Possess a comprehensive understanding of property-specific processes and maintain pertinent information related to specific properties.</li><li>Perform CAM (common area maintenance) recoveries and prepare cost and expense reports.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred)</li><li>CPA or PEP / Professional Education Program (preferred)</li><li>2+ years previous experience in property accounting</li><li>8+ years Canadian accounting experience</li><li>Extensive experience with QuickBooks</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Our businesses are diversified across a wide spectrum of regions, industries, and asset classes, giving us the expertise, access to resources and critical mass to take advantage of investment opportunities on a global scale.</div></div><h3>Company Description</h3><div>Our businesses are diversified across a wide spectrum of regions, industries, and asset classes, giving us the expertise, access to resources and critical mass to take advantage of investment opportunities on a global scale.</div>
