Job details
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Construction Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
* Equipment Operation: Operate various types of construction machinery, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and compactors, according to project specifications and safety standards.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery. Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure that equipment is in proper working condition.
* Efficiency and Productivity: Complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, maximizing productivity while minimizing downtime and delays.
* Material Handling: Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of construction materials using machinery as required.
* Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites for work by clearing debris, leveling terrain, and performing other site preparation tasks as directed.
* Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed, and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
* Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors, fellow workers, and other team members to ensure that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
* Quality Control: Monitor work quality and ensure that all tasks are performed according to project specifications and industry standards.
* Environmental Awareness: Minimize environmental impact by following proper procedures for waste disposal and pollution prevention.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Construction Machine Operator or similar role.
* Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and compactors.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
* Physical stamina and the ability to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions.
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
Education and Certifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
* Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
* French not required
Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed

* construction: 2 years (preferred)
