*UNITEX SALES Ltd*. located in Abbotsford, BC is a well-established garment and promotional products company that has been in business for over 25 years. Our focus is on providing a quality customer service experience which includes high quality workmanship. *PRODUCTION ASSISTANT: * We are currently looking for a part-time production assistant. Duties encompass a diversified range of tasks including Embroidery, Digital Printing, Heat Press Operation, and Shipping and Receiving duties. The successful candidate is invited to join our fast paced and growing company. The right candidate will be a team player with a can-do attitude and a willingness to take on challenges with creative solutions. The Role: * Operate Embroidery machines * Set up and prepare embroidery machines for production according to job specifications * Load designs into embroidery machines and ensure proper alignment and placement * Select appropriate thread colors and perform thread changes as needed during production runs * Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and consistency of embroidery * Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues, such as thread breaks or tension adjustments * Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make any necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and consistency * Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including regular machine maintenance and cleaning * Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. * Operate Digital Print, Heat Press, and Plotter machines * Transfer designs to garments, bags, accessories * Setup digital printers and plotters to ensure accurate and high quality output * Monitor and oversee printing processes to ensure proper ink coverage, color accuracy, and print quality * Monitor and oversee plotting process * Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance * Inspect finished products for quality control and make adjustments as necessary to meet customer specifications * Maintain inventory of printing supplies, including ink, paper, and substrates, and notify management when supplies need to be replenished * Collaborate with the design team to troubleshoot any issues with artwork files and ensure compatibility with printing and plotting equipment * Trim and steam garments in preparation for shipping when required * Receive incoming inventory items * Process required paperwork and the recording of incoming items * Prepare orders and invoices for shipment of items * Quality control checking of all orders * Prepare waybills and any other required documents * Assist with inventory control * Preparation of garments for embroidery * Other production tasks as necessary * Training will be provided if necessary Qualities we seek: * Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs. * Ability to follow procedures and processes * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * High degree of accuracy and attention to detail * Excellent organisational skills * Organized multitasker with a can-do attitude * Team person with a willingness to learn and be flexible * Friendly, energetic with strong communication and interpersonal skills * Fluency in English speaking and writing * Must be reliable, dependable with high integrity and strong work ethic * Heat press, Digital Print, and Embroidery experience is an asset * Sewing experience is an asset Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 25 per week Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Store discount Schedule: * Day shift * No weekends Work Location: In person- LocationAbbotsford, BC
