Make Your Mark at Prysmian!</p><p>The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Director. The Maintenance Manager stands out for his/her liveliness and has a great sense of organization and his motivation. This seasoned planner knows how to lead several complex projects simultaneously while ensuring results are achieved.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Directs team activities and maintenance department resources to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and repaired with minimal downtime.</li><li>Actively participate and take part in ESS projects and improvements on a regular basis.</li><li><span><span>Acts as project manager during the installation of new machinery and major projects, develops performance specifications and monitors submission processes.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Assumes responsibility for the budget and control of departmental expenses and demonstrates initiative in forecasting future maintenance needs to minimize budgetary impacts.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Manages the maintenance of the building in accordance with current laws and also represents GCC for environmental purposes.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Supports the engineering department with respect to major production issues and participates in lean continuous improvement activities.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Optimizes machine performance in accordance with new technologies and industry best practices.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Creates, distributes and controls schedules for preventive maintenance of machines and works with production to determine priorities, including summer shutdown.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Performs other related duties as assigned</span></span></li></ul><p><strong><span><span>Qualifications</span></span></strong></p><ul><li><span><span>Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering</span></span></li><li><span><span>3 ? 5 years of experience working in a maintenance role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</span></span></li><li><span><span>Minimum 3 years leading teams and processes</span></span></li><li><span><span>Proven success using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and tools</span></span></li><li><span><span><span>Bilingual French/English. Duties require the exchange of e-mails or certain meetings with other plants in North America. </span></span><strong><span><span>The official and common language remains French.</span></span></strong></span></li></ul><p><span> </span></p>
