We pride ourselves on providing staff and students with the tools to achieve success by offering dynamic programming, current resources, and practical professional learning opportunities.<p>Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting Summer School Teachers for the following courses: Physical Education/CALM Combined Course <p> English (10-1, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2) <p> Social Studies (10-1, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2) <p> Mathematics (10-3, 10C, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2) <p> Science (Science 10, Science 30, Biology 20, Biology 30, Chemistry 20, Chemistry 30, Physics 20, Physics 30) Open to: Internal and external candidates who are qualified teachers <p>These 5 credit courses will run weekdays from July 2 to July 26, 2024 with class times from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. The teacher will be compensated for 85 hours of instruction, 5 hours of supervision and 10 hours of preparation at a rate of $59.31 per hour. <p>Please indicate and prioritize the specific courses you would be proficient in teaching in your cover letter. <p>Experience teaching the course will be considered an asset. <p>Experience teaching in a condensed timeline will be considered an asset. <p>These positions are conditional on sufficient student registrations. <p>The successful candidate(s) must have or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. <p>Only online applications will be accepted. <p>Elk Island Public Schools appreciates and considers all applications; however, we only contact candidates who are selected for interviews.<p>All newly hired Teachers will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check, which includes a vulnerable sector check - dated within six (6) months from offer of employment with EIPS - obtained from local RCMP or Police Department.
