Coleman Mine, it's worth the drive!The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Mechanical Planner (Fixed Plant) to join our Maintenance Planning and Control Team at Coleman Mine in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position. As a Mechanical Planner (Fixed Plant) you will be accountable for the continuous improvement of the Fixed Plant team's performance, through the effective use of established processes and procedures. Also, you will be accountable for the planning of the work for the Coleman Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance Department and you could be required to provide relief supervision for crews as required.Additionally, in this position you will: Work Monday to Friday, 8 hours day shift.Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools, and standards.Execute the "Planning" element of the process for all types of work orders - systematic and non-systematic maintenance. This includes shutdown (PMP) and external resource-related work.Ensure work orders are planned with an emphasis on safety and ready to be executed prior to the required end date as determined through the notification and ensure its user statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order. Work within assigned budgets and escalate to management should a budget be exceeded. Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the "work schedule" for completion by Required End Date.Coordinate and facilitate with the Scheduler to ensure all required planning/scheduling routines are followed.Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, etc.Relief supervisor as necessary which requires:Holding the crew accountable for safe behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism. Ensure planned work orders are closed with proper time confirmations completed. Work within budget, guidelines, and standards. Work with a crew to develop an interactive workplace environment. About YouEducation:Grade 12 level education or GED equivalency is required.College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.A valid industrial trade certificate for the province of Ontario is preferred.Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141) is preferred.Experience:The ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge of all fixed plant systems, hoist, shaft, conveyances, loading pocket, conveyor belts, rock breaker, crusher, chutes, fans, pumps, sand plant, and structural infrastructure.Minimum 3 years o
