Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Select mineral treatment machinery and equipment. Determine the appropriate means of safely and efficiently mining deposits. Design shafts, ventilation and haulage systems. Prepare operations and project estimates, schedules and reports. Implement and co-ordinate mine safety programs. Report any malfunctions to supervisor. Report and document investigations and conclusions/recommendations. Prepare proposals. Establish and maintain contact with suppliers. Develop risk management plans. Determine layout and installation procedures. Develop data, process and network models to optimize architecture and to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs. Prepare reports and audit findings. Conduct site visits to gather relevant information . Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests of components.
