Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Work setting: Commercial. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Prepare tenders and quotations. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Estimate costs and materials. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Workplace Safety and Insurance Board¿(WSIB) clearance Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots.
