Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Remote location. Various locations. Tasks: Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Transportation/travel experience: International. Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Overtime required. Physically demanding. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
