Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Maintenance. Repair. Tasks: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation). Installing machinery and equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement. Area of specialization: Shutdown operations. Troubleshooting. Bearing, seals and packing. Welding. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?.
