Winnipeg's leading Security Company specializing in Security Guards, IP cameras, access and alarm security integration is actively hiring supervisors. We operate one of Canada's largest LIVE video monitoring centers. We live video monitor cameras across Canada and capture criminals in the act from the comfort of our state-of-the-art facility in Winnipeg. Our LIVE Video Monitoring operates 24/7 365 days a year.
The Supervisor, Operations role is an on-site position reporting to the General Manager, where you will receive onboarding and continuous training to help you learn new skills and succeed in your role overseeing a department of employees.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and wants to be part of a fast-paced and dynamic team. They would also have an HR background and experience supervising and managing employees.
Responsibilities:
Oversee staff in monitoring and incident response services to protect client locations from intrusion, theft and other unauthorized or criminal activities
Provide leadership, and guidance and address issues and events as they arise
Important considerations:
Rotating schedule of Evenings, Night and weekend shifts will be required
Due to the nature of the work, discretion is especially important
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years in a supervisor or Leadership role with a proven track record in leadership and personnel management.
Attention to detail
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to multi-task
Professional demeanour
Self-starter capable of working individually and as a strong contributor to the team
Experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement or the military is preferred, however, training is provided.
Experience in HR is an asset.
Should have experience in an office setting.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must have very strong communication skills (English written and spoken).
Must be excellent at operating a computer and have good communication skills both written and spoken.
Must be able to demonstrate a minimum typing skill of 85 WPM.
Must be able to handle working in a fast-paced atmosphere
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Note: There is limited and at times no bus service to our location as we are in St. Boniface Industrial Park. Candidates will require reliable transportation to and from work. Free parking is provided.
