Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Assign sales workers to duties. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff. Authorize payments by cheque. Order merchandise. Authorize return of merchandise. Sell merchandise. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Organize and maintain inventory. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Develop and implement marketing strategies. Determine merchandise and services to be sold. Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses. Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations. Supervision: 3-4 people. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Handling heavy loads.
